MITA (MS & HS): Classified School Employee Appreciation Week [May 17 - 23]

Hello MIT/GTA Community,
If you missed the opportunity to contribute to the different activities during Teacher Appreciation Week, this is another opportunity to show gratitude to a very impactful group of educators. This week is Classified School Employee Appreciation Week! We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful support team; our schools simply would not be the same without them. They are usually the first ones to greet you and the last ones to leave for the night.
We invite families to contribute treats on Thursday, May 21, to show their appreciation for our dedicated support staff at both MIT campuses. They wear many hats in addition to their specific roles:
Instructional Support: Paraeducators, instructional aides, tutors, etc.
Food Services Team
Facilities & Maintenance Crew
Office Support: Office supervisors, attendance clerks, registrars, etc.
Campus Security
IT Specialists
Program Coordinators
Thank you so much for sending words of inspiration to our classified employees. A high-five and a compliment go a long way in making our staff feel valued. Let's come together to show them how much we appreciate everything they do to keep our schools running safely and smoothly every single day!
In partnership,
Lai Saeteurn, Director of Schools
Ernest Louis-Jacques, MIT HS Site Director
Liz Saldana, MIT MS Site Director
