What this means for the students, staff, and families of MITA MS is that we must work together to ensure that the academic achievement of Mare Island Technology Academy is at or above the state average. The primary objective of our instructional program and a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (TtI plus PBIS) is to ensure that student progress and performance meet or exceed the state average as measured by the CAASPP System of assessments and a local assessment, NWEA. Furthermore, we don’t cram to get the scores because our renewal is up, but we embrace a results-driven culture that promotes high-impact instructional strategies and motivates students to take ownership of their learning.
