MIT MS: Multicultural Day Invitation to MIT/GTA Learning Community (5/15/26)

Hello MIT/GTA Community,
The students have been asking all year long, “When are we going to have Multicultural Day?” It is almost here. Multicultural Day is on Friday, May 15, 2026. The students are excited. We shall all do our best to grow the excitement in our “Open Stage, Open Mind” celebration to answer “What is diversity?” Any parent, student, or community member may support Multicultural Day.
Sign up to do a performance or demonstration (e.g. singing, dancing, martial arts, comedy, etc.).
Host a cultural booth.
Host a food booth.
Donate items to a booth.
Attend Multicultural Day.
Give money to your student to spend. Items are between $1 to $5.
Our goal is to provide the time and space for students and parents to promote their heritage. To support student access, Multicultural Day starts at 2:00 PM. School dismissal is at 3:00 PM. To encourage parent and caregiver attendance, Multicultural Day ends at 4:00 PM. For those of you who have been sitting in your car waiting for dismissal daily, we invite you to come through the gate. Let’s keep our heritages strong by following the proverb, “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I’ll learn.”
All proceeds directly support the MIT MS ASB Leadership. The ASB provides important activities to foster a vibrant campus life. Please contact ASB Advisor, Mr. Destin Tunca, for more information at dtunca@mitacademy.org.
Kind Regards,
