Hello MITA MS Community,

The MIT MS School Site Council (SSC) is conducted in unison with the ASB Leadership class. It is a great opportunity for young leaders to develop parliamentary and soft skills.  It is a roundtable of parents, staff, and students to review compliance matters and provide input on how best to improve the school. While only the elected officers can make a motion and vote on an action item, all council members take an active part in discussions. We would love to have more parent/guardian participation. We see many of you waiting early to pick up your student. How about coming just a bit earlier when there is an SSC meeting and joining the meetings?

The next MIT MS SSC meeting is on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in the MPR from 2:15 - 3:00 p.m. The agenda is attached and will be posted on the school website: https://mitams.gtaschools.org/37991_2. SSC meetings are open to the public; hence, Brown’s Act applies. You may find the agenda posted on the school’s School Site Council webpage at least 72 hours before the meeting.
