The 2026 Solano County Student Art Showcase is returning!
Your school is cordially invited to participate in this exciting event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at McCormack Hall, Solano County Fairgrounds (900 Fairgrounds Drive, Vallejo).
The Showcase provides students with the opportunity to share their talents in two meaningful ways: the Art Exhibit and the Performing Arts Stage.
The Art Exhibit
The Art Exhibit features student work across a wide range of categories, including:

• Computer Art
• Clay/Pottery
• Sculpture
• Drawing
• Fiber
• Mixed Media
• Painting
• Photography
• Printmaking

For many students, this will be their first opportunity to display their work to the public in a juried art show.
Eligibility: Open to students in grades 4–12.
Intent to Participate Deadline: Friday, December 5, 2025 (late submissions will not be accepted).

The Performing Arts Stage
The Performing Arts Stage highlights student performers of all ages and talents, including:

• School bands and orchestras
• Theater groups
• Dance teams
• Community groups
• Cheer squads
• Individual performers (music, poetry, comedy, spoken word, magic, cooking demos, etc.)

Eligibility: Open to all school-aged children and youth.
Registration Deadline: Friday, February 27, 2026.

Performance Requirements:

• Submit an audio file, lyrics, or video recording of the performance piece with your registration.
• List all equipment needs (please note that specialized equipment cannot be guaranteed).

Important Notes

• Space is limited, and participation is based on timely registration.
• Detailed guidelines, rubrics, and event schedules will be provided after registration.
• Schools are encouraged to coordinate with their art and performing arts teachers to ensure students are represented.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SPELLING BEE CHAMPIONSHIP
4th – 6th Grade Competition
Saturday, March 7, 2026
Location: Solano Community College, Gymnasium (tentative)
Your school is invited to participate in the 50th Annual Solano County Elementary School Spelling Bee, open to all public and private schools serving students in grades 4–6 within Solano County.
Each participating school may register its top two (2) spellers from your school’s local Spelling Bee competition. Please note that only one contact person should be identified as your school’s official Spelling Bee Advisor.
