Hello MITA MS Families and Friends,

It is that time of year when we ramp up student recruitment efforts. Our school goals and plans are dependent on student enrollment. We aim to grow MITA MS. Our optimal enrollment goal for the 2025-2026 school year is one grade of 84 students and two grade levels of 112  students. These numbers are fluid and based on a class size of 28 to 1. If we have a surge of 6th enrollment and no movement in 7th-grade, then we make adjustments. 

*We adjust for a 10% summer attrition. All grade levels open for enrollment.

Our best recruitment ambassadors are our parents/guardians and students. The primary reason we ask families to support recruitment is that a positive relationship and a sense of belonging are critical in creating a school community that thrives. It is helpful to have like-minded families who share the same core values of doing the hard work needed to create a safe and high-achieving school. We greatly appreciate your assistance with making sure that your student is surrounded by peers who maintain a healthy balance between academics and socializing. Families are encouraged to complete enrollment and registration as soon as possible instead of waiting until the summer to decide because enrollment impacts staffing and hiring.
